Sailing courses

At the CNAM Sailing School, we operate in accordance with the Standard system, which is regulated by the Escola Catalana de Vela (Catalan Sailing School) and applied in all recognised sailing schools.
The Standard system encompasses all sailing disciplines and specialities.
It consists of different levels of skills and competencies, each of which is identified by a colour. As students master the requisite skills and knowledge at each level, they obtain a certificate in their “student passport” which is accepted at all the recognised schools in Catalonia.
g YELOW LEVEL (Beginners 1) Students with no previous knowledge or experience will learn the basics of sailing
t ORANGE LEVEL (Beginners 2) Students will start to gain independence and learn to handle a yacht in light to gentle wind conditions.
BLUE LEVEL (Advanced 1) Students master manœuvres and steering in moderate wind conditions.
BROWN LEVEL (Advanced 2) Students master manœuvres and steering in moderate and strong wind conditions. Introduction to competitive sailing.
GREY LEVEL (Competition) Fleet programme, taking part in Competitions.
