Sailing school

The Sailing School has evolved and adapted in line with new trends in society and caters for the needs of today’s sportsmen and women. Thanks to our location and climate, we can offer activities the whole year round.
The Sailing School is the heart and hub of the club’s sports operation and is responsible for all training and teaching activities.

The Arenys de Mar Sailing Club’s Sailing School has been formally recognised by the Catalan Sailing School of the Federació Catalana de Vela (Catalan Sailing Federation) since it was first established.

The Sailing School aims to provide a wide range of options to members of the Club, residents of Arenys de Mar and anyone interested in sailing, whether beginners or competition-level yachtsmen and women.

To achieve this, we maintain an excellent team of technical and professional staff, who must in addition be able to adapt to the needs of different students. The members of our Human Resources team are properly qualified and have considerable experience of teaching sailing. All of our Instructors regularly attend seminars to update and improve their skills and knowledge in all the necessary technical areas.

Instructors at the Arenys de Mar Sailing Club’s Sailing School are thus highly-qualified but they also have the interpersonal skills essential for helping students to learn and to enjoy sport in the natural environment.

With regard to safety issues, the Club’s professional team constantly monitors student safety and implements a safety system which is kept under regular review. The aim is to provide the highest quality instruction along with the highest levels of safety and to provide both staff and students with all necessary elements to ensure supervision and assistance both at sea and on land.
If you’ve never been sailing or tried any water sports, we offer different activities suitable for your age and abilities. We have all the experience and the tools needed to ensure your first contact with the sea will be a memorable occasion.
At our sailing school, you will learn basic sailing techniques and how to handle a boat.
Our different courses are adapted to suit each student, offering what is virtually a personalised service, and are always in line with the teaching standards of the Catalan Sailing School.
Our technical team are trained by qualified Instructors from the Federació Catalana de Vela (Catalan Sailing Federation), and all are active sportsmen and women.
